The Royal Thai Consulate in Hobart, Tasmania Australia is authorised to issue the following Visas for travel to Thailand for Australian citizens living in all Australian States and Territories:

1. Tourist Visa

This type of visa will be issued to applicants wishing to enter the Kingdom of Thailand for tourism purposes. Persons are not permitted to work or conduct business when entering Thailand on a tourist visa.

2. Transit Visa

This type of visa will be issued to applicants wishing to enter the Kingdom of Thailand for the following purposes:

• To travel in transit through the Kingdom or at the airport exceeding 12 hours in order to proceed to the country of destination or to re-enter his/her own country (category "TS") (requiring proof of confirmed onward ticket to a Third country)

• To participate in sports activities (sportsmen, sportswomen, etc.) (category "S") (requiring letter from organization concerned and invitation letter from Thailand)

• The person in charge or crew of a conveyance coming to a port, station or area in the Kingdom (category "C") (requiring letter from organization concerned and invitation letter from Thailand)

3. Non-Immigrant Visa

This type of visa will be issued to applicants wishing to enter the Kingdom of Thailand for a range of specific purposes including to perform official duties, to conduct business or to invest or perform related investment activities.
